Since opening his first solo pub at The Purefoy Arms in June 2018, Gordon has focused on offering dishes made with local, seasonal ingredients from local suppliers. English Wine Week is an opportunity to promote the country’s fantastic range of wine by giving customers the chance to try a carefully selected choice of the best available.

“Having just been awarded 2 AA Rosettes we wanted to do something really special for our guests. The idea is to celebrate English wine and English food, the backbone of our culinary heritage, but with smaller courses to create a sort of journey through classic English cooking.

“England is producing some really fantastic wines and we want to share these with our customers. Many of them come from vineyards close to the pub and this reflects our ethos for local ingredients and supporting local suppliers,” says Gordon.

The 9-course English Wine & Dine Tasting Menu is £59.95 with optional English Wine Flight is only available during English Wine Week (Saturday 25th May – Sunday 2nd June). Pre-booking encouraged to avoid disappointment. Book a table on 01256 389514 or email [email protected]
